As architects as well as garden and landscape designers we believe this relationship to be the starting point for the design together with contextual references from history, geology and the surrounding landscape, be it urban or rural.

This is overlaid with the needs and aspirations of the client and, in the case of public commissions, those of the potential users.

The process

We have the expertise to help you realise your project from concept to completion but are also happy to provide design drawings for you to carry out the construction and planting work yourself. Each of our designs is unique and your garden will be skillfully designed around your brief and lifestyle.

Design consultancy

We can offer a professional design service to suit your needs to include:

• Visiting your garden to discuss your thoughts and aspirations and providing a quotation for the level of service you feel appropriate.
• A site analysis taking note of existing features, sun-path, contextual references and the relationship with buildings, rooms and activities.
• Master planning the whole garden showing initial concepts and ideas.
• Preparation of scheme design drawings.
• Submitting for local authority approvals if required.

Technical services

Following on from the design stage we can:

• Produce a detailed scheme with construction drawings for hard and soft landscape elements, water installations etc.
• Produce detailed planting plans.
• Liase with other professionals such as party wall surveyors and structural engineers if required.
• Co-ordinate the work of any specialists involved such as lighting consultants, artists and metalworkers.
• Provide full specifications and documentation to obtain competitive tenders for construction and planting work.
• Provide contract administration and site inspection.
